Product Review: Pipe Insulation
Good product for the price. A bit tricky to get it to say on the pipes if they have to be moved, but a bit of tape worked wonders.

Product Review: Not Quite as Described
These arrived promptly. The only problem was that they were not slit down there length as described. It wasn't much of a job to do this with a Stanley knife, but just enough of an inconvenience to prevent what would otherwise have been a 5 star review.

Product Review: good product
Armaflex can be used on any pipe work but is especially suitable for my application which includes solar. The existing foam insulation had melted due to high temperatures, especially near the collector. Armaflex, I understand, is quite capable of withstanding these temperatures. Be aware that it does not have a seam which can be opened up like foam insulation does. So, unless you are threading it onto new pipe work, you will have to cut a seam and open it up. This is easy with an ordinary pair of scissors or a knife: but you may need some tape around it on bends as it wont spring back quite so easily as foam. There was a rubber smell from it for the first week or so, but that is gone now. It is amazingly light to handle and obviously very effective.

Armaflex Tape is a highly flexible elastomeric material which is quick and easy to install and available in both tube and sheet form. It has a closed cell structure which has a built in vapour barrier with a high resistance to water vapour transmission enabling the insulation material to maintain a higher level of energy conservation efficiency.
Class O Armaflex Tape is the ideal choice for insulating tanks, ductwork, large pipes or irregular shapes.

Class O Armaflex Tape has an excellent fire safety performance achieving BS476 part 6 1989 for low fire propagation, producing minimal contribution to the overall heat release, and BS476 part 7 1987 for zero surface spread of flame. Class O Armafix pipe supports are recommended for use where thermal bridging may occur.
